I like how quick the workouts are...not so long that I get exhausted and lose interest altogether! Still get a great workout!
Some bad moments
I just purchased the entire program and I think it is the best exercise regimen out there. She makes exercising and eating healthy really simple. Plus, the recipes are tasty, to boot!
My only gripe is the app. While I was happy to find my programs accessible on the app there are some issues that could improve the overall experience:
It would be useful not to have sign in at all and not even have to press "Prefer not to sign in"... Like facebook, where all you do is open the app (after the first time youve logged in).
It would be nice if it automatically opened to the day I needed to complete, instead of having to open the program booklet and searching for it.
Once you get to the right day it lists all the exercises but wont allow me to skip through the menu. I can select it but nothing happens unless I start from the beginning. Id like to preview what I am going to do.
There is too much of a lag between the exercises once it says "completed" and moves to the next exercise.
The videos (sometimes) take too long to load. When you are eager to get going, this adds another 30seconds or so in between exercises.
And my biggest gripe of all…when I play the video it kills my music! I have to switch back to my music app and restart it, then re-open the Emily Skye app. It should pause it, then restart the music where it left off. The Nike training app does that.
I have an iphone 5s operating on the latest ios. Maybe there are options I dont know about ? I will stick to this program because it is wonderful. But this app could use a lot of improvement and would be really useful in achieving our goals.
Emily has a lot of great workouts but unfortunately the workout portion of the app is extremely faulty.
1. The app consistently shuts down mid workout and you lose your place.
2. You cant watch the example videos unless you go through the workout step by step.
3. The example videos never work on the first try, you have to restart the app then go through skip each workout until you get to the example you want and then sometimes it works.
4. You cant mark off the workout as completed unless you go through each step on the app, which is frustrating when it keeps failing.
5. The videos shut off your background music.
It should be much more user friendly, please have someone remodel your app!! I love the workouts but am getting frustrated enough to quit this program.
Workouts for purchased programs often have the incorrect time set for the rest period timer. Makes the app useless as you have to close it, set another timer on your phone, then reopen the app for each set. I mailed support regarding the issue but they didnt fix it.
So does not work, glad I did not purchase the programs yet. The workout will not move past the first one. Disappointed
